The Brief

Baladi is one of Israel's oldest food companies — publicly traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, importing and distributing meat, fish, vegetables, and fruit from 36 countries since 1916. Their previous website didn't match the scale of the business: outdated design, no investor relations section, and no way for the team to manage content independently.

They needed a ground-up rebuild — modern design, easy internal maintenance, a proper investor relations presence with live stock data, and a site that reflects the weight of a company with 108 years of history. The timeline was tight: approximately 3 weeks from start to launch.

Discovery & Strategy

Understanding the Business

We joined Baladi's internal Slack workspace and worked directly with Tamir Dahbany (Deputy CEO of Procurement), Mirit Gispan (Marketing Director), and Dor Dahabani (Business Development). This direct communication meant feedback loops closed within hours through live Framer preview links shared in Slack.

Content Strategy

Content was written by pulling from existing materials — the old website, PDFs, financial reports — and refining copy to be sharper and more concise. The site needed to serve multiple audiences simultaneously: consumers looking for products, business clients evaluating suppliers, investors monitoring performance, and job seekers exploring careers. We structured the information architecture around these four audiences, with the homepage acting as a gateway to each journey.

Design Approach

Designed Directly in Framer

No Figma handoff — every page was designed directly in Framer. Layout, typography, color, interactions, and responsive behavior were all conceived and built in the same environment, eliminating the translation gap between design and development entirely.

Visual Language

We built a visual language around Baladi's existing red and black brand palette but modernized everything: large condensed headlines using Ping Hebrew (a premium Hebrew typeface), generous whitespace, card-based sections, and animated counters. The result feels contemporary while respecting a 108-year legacy. Every page is fully responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile.

Development & Build

CMS Architecture

We set up 6 CMS collections in Framer — Products, Categories, Recipes, Careers, Logos, and Legal — so the Baladi team manages all content independently without touching code. The product catalog supports categories, series, sub-series, and filtering.

Live Stock Data Widget

The standout technical piece: a custom Framer code component that fetches real-time stock price from Yahoo Finance via a Supabase Edge Function. It renders an interactive SVG chart (no external chart libraries) with 6-month and 12-month tabs, shows current price, percentage change, and market cap. Includes a share structure donut chart and auto-refreshes every hour with a static data fallback.

Investor Relations

Built a full investor section with animated financial counters (revenue, gross profit, EBITDA, market cap, employee count), downloadable quarterly and annual reports, investor presentations, corporate governance with accordion UI for 15 executives and directors, and share structure visualization.

Integrations

Contact and lead forms connected via Zapier/Make, UserWay accessibility widget, Glassix chatbot, custom domain DNS configuration, and comprehensive SEO with meta tags on every page, robots.txt, and llms.txt.

Results & Impact

Delivered on Time

A complete digital presence for a publicly traded, 108-year-old food company — launched on schedule. 12+ pages, 6 CMS collections, live stock data, custom code components, and a design that matches the scale of a business importing from 36 countries. The site serves consumers, business clients, investors, and job seekers — each with dedicated sections and clear pathways.

The Baladi team now manages products, job listings, partner logos, and legal content independently through the CMS, with zero developer dependency for day-to-day updates.

Frequently

asked questions

What does a typical project timeline look like?

Full website builds take 6–8 weeks. Migrations from WordPress, Webflow, or Wix ship in 4–6 weeks. Rush projects can launch in as fast as 2 weeks. Every timeline includes design, development, CMS setup, and launch support.

What’s included in a full website build?

Custom design across desktop, tablet, and mobile. Framer development with CMS collections for your content. Form integrations (HubSpot, Zapier, Cal.com). SEO optimization with meta tags and structured data. Plus 2 weeks of post-launch support included.

Do I own the website after launch?

Yes, 100%. You get full ownership of the Framer project, all custom components, and complete CMS access. No lock-in, no recurring fees. You only pay for a retainer if you want ongoing design and development support.

Can you migrate my site from WordPress, Webflow, or Wix?

Yes. We’ve migrated sites from all major platforms. Content is preserved, SEO redirects are configured to protect your rankings, and the new Framer site launches with significantly better performance and page speed.

What if I need changes after launch?

You can edit content, images, and CMS items yourself — that’s the whole point of building in Framer. For design changes, new pages, or structural updates, we offer monthly retainers. Most clients manage day-to-day content independently within days of launch.

Do you work with startups or larger companies?

Both. We’ve built sites for pre-seed startups and publicly traded companies. The process scales to fit the project — whether it’s a 4-page launch site or a 20-page enterprise platform with multiple CMS collections.

What industries do you specialize in?

SaaS, fintech, AI/ML, B2B platforms, maritime, and creative studios. But Framer expertise transfers across any industry — we’ve worked with food companies, space tech startups, insurance providers, and more.

How do you handle CMS and content management?

We set up Framer CMS collections tailored to your content — blog posts, case studies, team members, products, whatever you need. Your team gets a recorded walkthrough covering publishing workflows and SEO best practices. Most clients are adding content independently within days.
