TLDR: A Framer website costs $100 to $1,500 as a customized template, $1,500 to $8,000 with a freelancer, and $6,000 to $30,000 or more with a studio. Ongoing partners run $1,000 to $5,000 a month. Price is driven by whether brand and copywriting are included, CMS complexity, custom code, and migration.

A Framer website in 2026 costs anywhere from a few hundred dollars for a customized template to $30,000 and up for a full brand and website build. That range is useless on its own, so here is how it actually breaks down, based on the projects we see and the ones we build.

The four price bands

1. Template route: $100 to $1,500. You buy a template for $0 to $400, swap the copy and images yourself, or pay someone a few hundred dollars to do it cleanly. This is the right call for a validated idea that needs a page this week. The limit is obvious: your site looks like everyone else who bought the template, and the structure was designed for a generic company, not yours.

2. Freelancer: $1,500 to $8,000. A good independent designer will customize a template properly at the low end or design a small custom site at the high end. Quality varies more here than in any other band. The best freelancers rival agencies. The worst deliver a template swap at custom prices. The hiring questions matter most in this band, and we wrote them up in how to hire a Framer agency.

3. Studio or agency: $6,000 to $30,000+. Custom design, real copywriting, CMS architecture, custom code where the template ceiling gets in the way, and someone accountable for the whole thing. B2B sites with a case-study engine, a blog, integrations, and a brand refresh sit in the middle and upper part of this band. Multi-CMS builds, localization, and migrations push it higher.

4. Ongoing partner: $1,000 to $5,000 per month. After launch, some companies keep a studio on retainer for continuous design, SEO, conversion work, and new pages. This is usually cheaper than a mid-size rebuild every two years, because the site never rots.

What actually moves the price

  • Brand work included or excluded. A website that also needs identity, type, and a visual system is two projects wearing one invoice.

  • Copywriting. "We will send you the text" delays more projects than any technical issue. Real copy written for you costs money and is worth it.

  • CMS complexity. Five static pages is one job. Projects, blog, solutions pages, team, and integrations with your tools is another.

  • Custom code. Interactive components, data from external sources, tracking that actually works.

  • Migration. Moving an existing site without losing rankings takes redirects, metadata parity, and testing. Skipping this is how companies lose their Google traffic in one weekend.

  • Speed. Two-week deadlines cost more than six-week deadlines. Everywhere, always.

Where budgets get wasted

The most expensive website is the one you build twice. The pattern we see: a company buys the cheap option, launches, watches it underperform for a year, then pays full price for the rebuild anyway. The second most expensive mistake is paying agency prices for template work. If a proposal does not clearly say what is custom and what is adapted, ask.

Also worth knowing: Framer itself charges hosting, roughly $20 to $100 per month per site depending on plan. Small next to the build cost, but put it in the budget.

What we charge

We quote per project after a short scoping call, because two "5-page websites" can be a $6,000 job and a $25,000 job depending on what is behind them. Most of our engagements sit in the studio band, and clients who stay do so on a monthly plan. Book a 20 minute call and you will leave with a realistic range for your project, whether you build it with us or not.
