How AGR Studio designed Hellgate's Web3 project website with dark-themed visuals, animated gradients, and community-focused features in 3 weeks on Framer.
Hellgate is a Web3 project building at the intersection of blockchain technology and community engagement. In the fast-moving crypto space, first impressions happen in seconds, the website needed to immediately communicate legitimacy, generate excitement, and drive community participation through Discord and token acquisition channels.
The timeline was aggressive at 3 weeks, typical for Web3 projects where speed-to-market matters as much as quality. Every design decision was made to maximize impact within this compressed schedule.
Web3 Trust Signals
Crypto communities are hyper-aware of scams. We identified the trust signals that matter in Web3: transparent team information, clear tokenomics, verifiable smart contract links, and community social proof (Discord member counts, Twitter followers, holder numbers). Every trust signal was given prominent placement rather than buried in footer links.
Dark Energy
The design uses a near-black base with high-contrast accent colors and animated gradient backgrounds that pulse with energy. Typography is bold and compressed, headlines feel urgent and impactful. The aesthetic draws from gaming and underground culture, matching the community's identity without crossing into amateurish territory.
Scroll-triggered animations reveal content with cinematic timing, sections slide, scale, and fade in sequences that create momentum and excitement as visitors move through the page.
Rapid Build
The 3-week timeline demanded efficiency. We used Framer's native animation tools for the majority of interactions, reserving custom code for the gradient background system and wallet-connection CTA states. The single-page architecture kept the build focused while providing enough content depth for community members and newcomers alike.
Community Launch
The site launched on schedule and served as the hub for Hellgate's community launch. The professional presentation helped Hellgate stand out from the flood of low-quality Web3 project sites, building initial credibility with early community members and crypto media covering the project.
